En. Darke bin Mohamed Sani was appointed a member of the Group’s Board of Directors on 1 October 2021. A graduate of the National University of a Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), En. Darke is a seasoned professional in the field of technology and communications with nearly 40 years of experience.

Among the companies he served are Axiata Group Berhad where he was the Group Chief HR Officer and as a Member of the Senior Leadership Team sitting in the Group Executive Council; Maxis Communications Berhad as Managing Director, Enterprise Business Division; Apple Inc (South Asia) as Managing Director, and Digital Equipment Corporation as Managing Director.

En. Darke has also served as a Member on several Boards such as edotco Group Berhad (2018-2021), Dialog Axiata (listed in Sri Lanka) (2014-2016), and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore (1995-2002).

He was a member of the Board Nomination and Remuneration Committee of all eight operating companies in the Axiata Group in six countries (Member, 2014-2020), the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) (Founder Member and Exco Member, 2003-2004), the Public Service Commission, Singapore (Member, 2000-2001), and the Selection Committee for The President Scholarships of the President of Singapore (Member, 1996-1998).
