Encik Mohd Azharuddin Mat Sah was appointed as Prasarana’s President and Group Chief Executive Officer on 15 July 2021.

Formerly the Group Chief Transformation Officer of Malaysia Airlines Berhad, he brings to Prasarana a rich wealth of experience on the nation’s public transportation services; having served as the Chief Executive Officer of Suruhanjaya Pengangkutan Awam Darat (SPAD) from 2015 to 2018. At SPAD, he was responsible on matters of policy, planning, development and enforcing public transport laws; and enhancement of the urban rail, bus, taxis and commercial vehicle services. He has also served with the nation’s transformation agency, PEMANDU as Director for Urban Land and Greater KL/Klang Valley Public Transportation for two years from 2014.

Azharuddin is a graduate of University of Kent at Canterbury, United Kingdom with a degree in Arts – Economics and Law. He started his career with Shell Malaysia and was placed in the UK at Shell International Petroleum Company, London. After serving Shell for 11 years, he continued his career at Khazanah as the Senior Vice President; Director for Public Sector at Microsoft Malaysia; and as Director in PEMANDU.
