Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim was appointed as the Chairman of Prasarana Malaysia Berhad in July 2021, bringing over 40 years of experience across various companies. He is also the Chairman of QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd and AirAsia Aviation Group Ltd, both operating in the ASEAN region, as well as a Board Member of SEEK Ltd. (Australia). Additionally, he currently serves as the Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. 

Prior to these roles, he held CEO positions for 27 years and was involved in the listing of four companies. 

Tan Sri Jamaludin holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from California State University, Chico, and an MBA from Portland State University, Oregon. He embarked on a successful career with several digital and telecommunications companies, including Maxis Communications Berhad. In 2008, he joined Axiata Group Berhad (“Axiata”) as the President & Group CEO and led the transformation of Axiata from a pure mobile company into three distinct lines of business (Telecommunications, Digital, and Tower Infrastructure) across a footprint of 11 countries in ASEAN and South Asia. 

Tan Sri Jamaludin has also served as a Board Member of Sunway Group Berhad, MAVCAP, MDEC, and several other organisations. He was appointed by the Prime Minister as a member of the country’s Economic Action Council and the National Digital Economy and 4IR Council from 2020 to 2022. 

He has contributed significantly to education, serving as a Board Member of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (2006–2008) and Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (2007–2011). 

Tan Sri Jamaludin has received multiple awards, including ‘CEO of the Year 2000’ and ‘Telecommunications CEO of the Year 2010.’ He was also honoured with the GSMA ‘Chairman’s Award’ in 2015 for his contributions to mobile communications. On 19 November 2024, Universiti Sains Malaysia conferred upon him an Honorary Doctorate of Management in recognition of his extraordinary contributions.
