Dr. Prodyut Dutt was appointed as the Group Chief Operating Officer (Strategy and Development) on 25 August 2021.

Prior to joining Prasarana, he was the Independent Advisor for Management and Transportation at Asia Development Bank to provide consultancy services on rail and bus transport system in Thailand.

A distinguished figure in the transportation sector, both nationally and internationally with more than 35 years of experience, he was previously the Chief Development Officer of the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD). Prior to that, he served for 20 years in the Malaysian Government initially as Assistant Director, Highway Planning Unit in Ministry of Works, then as Principal Assistant Secretary, Land Transport Division and Maritime Transport Division in the Ministry of Transport and finally as Deputy Under-Secretary, Economics Division in the Ministry of Finance. He then worked 11 years in the Asian Development Bank (ADB) where his final position was as Head Infrastructure Group in ADB’s India office responsible for all of ADB’s transport and energy sector projects in India.

He has a B. Eng. (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Malaya in Malaysia, an M.Sc. (Distinction) degree in Transport from Imperial College London, United Kingdom and a Ph.D. in Transportation degree from MIT in Cambridge, USA.
