Encik Mohd Hassan Ahmad brings a wealth of expertise in fiscal policy, economic management, and public finance to his role at Prasarana Malaysia Berhad. With over 20 years in the Ministry of Finance (MoF), he has played a key role in shaping Malaysia’s fiscal strategies, managing public debt, and leading transformative initiatives, including the formulation of the National Budget and the establishment of Urban Transformation Centres (UTCs).

His leadership extended to restructuring major state-owned enterprises like FELDA and Tabung Haji, as well as spearheading the issuance of global sukuk. He had served as a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors in several state-owned enterprises and public listed companies such as FGV Holding Berhad, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), FELDA, Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) and Public Sector Home Financing Board (LPPSA). Internationally, he served as Malaysia’s Executive Director at The World Bank Group, representing Southeast Asia in developmental and financial matters.

A Chartered Accountant and member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, he holds a Master’s in Economics (Financial Economics) from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Accountancy from Universiti Putra Malaysia.
