Syahrul Azmir Ahmad Zaki was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Rapid Bus Sdn. Bhd. on 15 July 2026.

With more than 27 years of leadership experience in the logistics, supply chain and transportation industries, Syahrul Azmir has built a distinguished career overseeing large-scale operations, driving business transformation, and delivering sustainable operational and commercial performance.  His expertise spans fleet and facilities management, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), corporate strategy, digital innovation, and operational excellence.

Prior to joining Rapid Bus, he held senior leadership positions with Aramex Malaysia, RUAG Aviation Malaysia, Kerry Logistics, OBYU Holdings and Kontena Nasional Berhad. Throughout his career, he has led complex operations, organisational transformation and stakeholder engagement initiatives while developing high-performing teams and strengthening operational excellence across diverse industries.

As Chief Executive Officer of Rapid Bus, Syahrul Azmir provides strategic leadership for the company’s operations, with a focus on enhancing service reliability, operational efficiency, customer experience and human capital development. His priorities also include advancing the adoption of electric buses, accelerating digital transformation, and improving first- and last-mile connectivity to support the evolving needs of public transport users.

Under his leadership, Rapid Bus continues to deliver safe, reliable, efficient and customer-centric public transportation while supporting Prasarana’s broader aspiration to advance the development of a more integrated and sustainable public transport ecosystem for Malaysia.
