Dr. Sivabalasingam Veerasingam was appointed to Prasarana’s Board on 2 April 2018. With over three decades of public service experience, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership in fiscal management, economic policy, and strategic planning.

He began his career in 1987 with the Royal Malaysia Police, later transitioning to the Ministry of Finance, where he held key positions across procurement, economic planning, and international affairs. Notably, he led various divisions, including the Econometrics Section and the Fiscal and Economics Division, where his strategic foresight contributed to national policy formulation. He also served as Head of the Research and Policy Development Cluster at INTAN, overseeing initiatives that enhanced public sector efficiency.

He holds a Professional Qualification from the Association of International Accountants (UK), a Master’s in Finance from RMIT University (Australia), and a PhD in Economics from Universiti Putra Malaysia. Among his accolades are multiple service excellence awards and recognition for his academic contributions.
